After completing his residency at Emory University, Department of Ophthalmology, in Atlanta, GA, Dr. David Risner has been welcomed to the Heaton Eye Associates’ team in Longview, Texas. Dr. Risner has special interests in cataract surgery, Lifestyle Lens cataract surgery, medical ophthalmology, family vision care, LASIK/cataract post-operative care, retinal disease treatment, ophthalmologic pathology and macular degeneration management. Dr. Risner began his education in Winston-Salem, NC at Wake Forest University and acquired his MD at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN. After completion of his schooling, Dr. Risner performed an internship at Baptist Heath Systems in Birmingham, AL. Dr. Risner comments, “I’m grateful to be the newest addition to Heaton Eye Associates and to be a part of the Longview, Texas community.
