In 1989, after six years away from Texas, I retired and we returned home to east Texas. The first ophthalmologist I went to missed it on my Eye exam and my vision was worse with my new glasses. I chose another and again was not satisfied. Is the third time is the charm? Evidently it was and I have been with Heaton for twenty eight years, through cataract surgery and all my other problems. I think Dr. Nickel is the best. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I highly recommend Athens Heaton Eye Assoc. Excellent Doctors, staff and facility. Dr Hardin performed surgery on both of my eyes with excellent results. The entire process was professional and helpful with hardly any time spent in waiting rooms. My different options were discussed without any hard sell. The staff was very knowledgeable about the procedures as well as navigating the complexities of medical insurance.
