Tom Joby, O.D., is a therapeutic optometrist serving patients at our Gun Barrel City location. Dr. Joby specializes in comprehensive eye care, ocular disease management, and specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Joby attended the University of Houston, where he completed his undergraduate studies in biology and optometry prerequisites, before pursuing his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
Throughout his clinical training, Dr. Joby gained experience in a variety of settings across the United States and internationally. His rotations included The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Abate Eye Hospital in Kerala, India, Vision Health Institute in Orlando, and the Jesse Brown VA in Chicago. His training included comprehensive eye exams, ocular disease and glaucoma management, and specialty contact lens fittings, including scleral, RGP, hybrid, and Ortho-K lenses.
Dr. Joby enjoys providing personalized eye care and helping patients better understand and manage their vision and overall eye health.
Outside of the clinic, he enjoys basketball, traveling, business, cars, and spending time learning more about the automotive world.Professional Credentials
