This was our first time seeing Dr. Matthew R. Marshall.He was very pleasant and kind. He kindly greeted my daughter (the patient) and I when he walked in and was very professional. I went to stand up the shake his hand when he walked in but he barely made eye contact and immediately sat down at the computer to read the notes on my daughters file.He didnt have much conversation at all with my daughter and I and was just very straight to the point. He gave us an update on my daughters new prescription and did flash a smile a couple of times.And again, when he was done I stood up to shake his hand as he was about to leave out of the room but he looked straight ahead and left.Not a bad issue, (in my opinion), but if you have a new patient (and a minor patient) I would hoped that he would have been more communicative and warmer.My daughter had been a patient at Heaton Eye Associates- Tyler Office for 10 years now and we have only always had seen Dr. Jeffery Hunter until he moved out of state 2 years ago. Dr. Hunter had been my daughters doctor since she was in 1st grade.Unfortunately in this case, we have just been use to the charismatic, fun, friendly, plenty of eye contact, and engaged involvement that we ALWAYS got from Dr. Hunter.He always made sure he got wither a laugh or smile from my daughter before her visit was over. (And always ALWAYS made it a point to shake my hand when entering and leaving thr room.)Moving forward, Ill just need to remember that I can save my handshakes and conversation in future visits with Dr. Marshall.(I do want to reiterate that he was very kind and very professional.)

First time at the new facility and it was gorgeous very spacious. Everyone is always super friendly unhelpful I really enjoy Heaton and I especially like Dr. Vincent.

Very informative and cares about his patients. Love the new building they are in and all their services in one place.
